He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University and Postgraduate Copyright, Publishing and Press Law Studies at the Institute of Intellectual Property Law at the Jagiellonian University (now Cathedral of the Intellectual Property Rights of the Jagiellonian University).
He has been a legal counsel since 2000, and is one of the founders of the Law Firm.
He has over 20 years of experience in services for IT industry and electronic media companies including tax aspects of their business. He was also involved as an expert of the Ministry of Science and Digitisation in parliamentary work on draft law on digitisation for bodies pursuing public tasks.
Maciej specialises in intellectual property, in particular in the field of software and activities performed online, IT law, including in the area of electronically supplied services, protection of databases and personal data, media and information protection and unfair competition law.
Amongst other things he advises companies from industries such as: electronic media (radio, Web portals), online advertising, online market research, mobile payments, and software production.
On many occasions he also provided consultancy in a variety of investment projects.
He has many years of litigation experience, especially in business matters and personal rights protection. He deals with unprecedented cases on personal rights of legal persons, protection of databases or combating unfair competition.
He also has experience in legal support for public spending, also based on international funds and in the operations of municipality commercial companies, including membership in the Supervisory Board of such as a company.
He is also co-author of a commentary to the Medical Activity Act, LexisNexis, Warsaw 2013.
